Why does reddit receive 40% of moons?

All Cryptocurrencies

by COINS NEWS 209 Views

Ok so with moons, 40% hoes to reddit, 10% to mods (lucky bastards) and then the rest goes to us peasants.

When we spend our moons on things like coins or memberships, it gets burned, and goes back into the moon pool for the next distribution.

According to the reddit terms of services that moons are not to be traded and they have no value.

So why does reddit get 40% of moons? I understand mods as it’s probably so they have a big say in governance polls but what does reddit do with this 40% that even according to them shouldn’t be traded.
