Since Layer 2 is the answer to many of the problems facing Ethereum, does this mean that the Ethereum Foundation needs to have an official layer 2 solution that they create/control in some way? The community has been waiting for solutions for Ethereum for many years, wouldn't it be strange for EF to just say "yeah those solutions are in layer 2 companies, but that's got nothing to do with us so talk to them about it". If EF is moving towards the goal of promoting Ethereum adoption, doesn't that mean they have a responsibility to provide a full circle solution that includes Layer 2? I just find it strange that we see all these layer 2 options but we don't have one from Ethereum itself. Since layer 2 is essential to the future viability of Ethereum, isn't it very risky/naive to place that trust to 3rd party Layer 2 solutions rather than their own solution?
