Will I be okay if I don’t understand all the technical aspects?

I’m fairly new and frankly, trying to learn can be overwhelming. I feel like I’m getting a good understanding of Bitcoin, but when I start to see comments talking about Omni layers and building on the blockchain, DeFi and smart contracts, I have no idea what any of it means and trying to learn and grasp the technology can be time consuming. I have been DCA into Bitcoin and I just wanted to know if I just continue to do that and making sure I have good cold storage, is it important to learn the ins and outs of how crypto works? Is there anything I should definitely understand and learn? Thanks
