Are any of the staking options in Ledger completely safe? (Figment, Kiln etc)

Hi, I've just excited a Rocketpool node because I was kinda worried about potential smart contract problems, but also because my RPL tokens value has taken a real hammering and I'd prefer to just hold ETH.

I've noticed Ledger Live has a section to help you stake, but are any of the options pretty much risk free, and not resolve swapping for another token? (which would be a taxable event here)

Current staking reward is around 3.5% and it'd be really nice to be able to get that if possible, but without having to run my own node and without having to convert to something like rETH or holding RPL (sorry I'm singling out RocketPool, it seems fantastic, just it's the only one I have experience of using)
