Babb app woes

In March 2023, I transfered about $1100 of BTC to the Babb app, thinking about moving in and out of Babb as it has gone up and down. It got over there and I immediately just found the app cumbersome. It also heavily relies on the GBP, not dollars. I never did anything on the app except keep keep the btc as btc.

In mid-2023, I decided to move it back. For months, it simply would not work. It would ask for all my information, passcode entered every time you move away from the app for a second, google authenticator, emailed codes, etc., but after I jumped through all the hoops, it would not let me move my btc. Just one error after another.

According to its documentation, there is no fee to transfer btc to an external source except the regular gas. But the error often was “not enough money.”

Thus begins the painfully slow and non-responsive support emails. After pushing and pushing, they said, well, there might be a fee after all of their network was “busy.” A fee of 0.0005 btc. After this exchange, Babb would not even let me log into its app.

Not that long ago, it finally let me back in the app. And I finally got it it to accept my send request. This time; the fee was 0.0007, about $45.50 (you have to manually reduce the btc you are transferring by this undisclosed fee.

At first , it said completed, but it had not shown up in my other wallet. it now remains “pending.” As my other wallet has nothing showing it is pending, so this is not the normal process of verifying the transaction. Babb has simply not started the transaction.

Any advice how to make this thing get started?

Is there a British SBF in the works? Did I get ripped off?
