There is an ongoing phishing scam on the Gate.io's official Twitter as scammers hacked it and using it for their own benefit.
The scammers changed the website's URL on Twitter. (always check the URL twice when logging into an exchange in any situation as we are at a time when there is a record number of crypto scams).
There is an aggressive giveaway promotion involving 500.000USDT, which is obviously not real.
They request the people who clicked on the website to connect their Metamask wallet. They will drain all the assets from anyone who connects it.
The scam was confirmed by a watcher twitter account as well.

My advice is, always be careful which website you connect any of your online wallets, not only in this situation but in general.
