Can Solana really beat Ethereum?

I’ve been seeing a lot of articles talking about Solana as the “main contender” that will beat Ethereum as the world’s pre-eminent network for decentralized finance. Also came across this article where there’s a part talking about how Solana will take Ethereum’s place.

I don’t know, but I feel like Solana is just so hyped. Sure, there’s great potential with it, but I feel like heralding it as the one that will beat Ethereum feels exaggerated and stupid. Though I still agree that it should be among the top dogs. I’m really into the tech that’s going on with them.
