Can we stop throwing “rugged” around so casually? There are, of course, plenty of rug pulls being perpetrated by bad actors (especially in DeFi) but not every bad investment or tough break is a result of a scam.
Finding yourself a bag holder doesn’t mean the devs stole from you. There are plenty of legit projects that just fail. Hanlon’s razor and all of that. It might make you feel better to adopt a narrative where a team bamboozled you instead of owning the fact that you made a poor decision but consider the larger implications.
It makes an already volatile and difficult to navigate space seem even more treacherous. To outsiders this kind of language helps fuel the mainstream narrative that crypto is sketchy and it further hinders mass adoption. To people in the game who actually know the score it just sounds like sour grapes from a big ol’ baby.
