Extra Solar power. Should I start mining or is it too late?

So I'm building a large new house in Thailand and we've decided to go solar. We have 40 solar panels going in rated at 22 Kw total. If I'm home charging my electric car and using air conditioning I'm guessing I'm going to use most of the power up. But sometimes we go out for the day or the weekend and all that power is going to go to waste.

I'm wondering if setting up a mining rig and running it during times of excess power would be a good idea or is this just a waste of money at this point now that the halving has occurred?
