Full Node AND Mining

Hi guys, I wanted to ask you guys how do you feel about running a full node in a computer, and simultaneously join a mining pool. Firstly, do you think an old MacBook Pro (2015) that is now running Ubuntu would be able to mine as well as continue with its primary function, which is being a Full Node? And more importantly, do you think it will be worth it?

Edit 2: Please avoid the idea of electricity cost, assume this cost is no longer existing, and this is just a way of generating extra btc apart from my btc DCA strategy.
