Issue with Kraken. Need advice.

Hi all fellow bitcoiners,

I´d appreciate your opinion regarding a negative balance with my Kraken account.

Several years ago I placed a simple limit buy order which resulted in a negative balance after being executed. I´m not a trader and have never used leverage (kind of a bitcoin maximalist hodler).

I can´t understand how this is possible. AFAIK every time you place an order fees are discounted and you´re not allowed to trade without having enough funds (be it fiat money or crypto).

I´ve been told by Kraken support that changes have been made to their trading platform since 2017 but no blame assumed. However, a few years ago one of their employees told me that it ought to be an error on their side.

Has this ever happened to you? What would you do?
