TLDR : GMAIL integrated "Twitter like checkmark" and scammers are using it to pose themselves as legitimate wallet / exchanges".
Its general rule of thumb that crypto email scams are very common and easy to spot.
They send you emails like "Your exchange / wallet account needs to be activated / your account got suspended / verify your account acitivities" to phish you to visit the link included which the link will request your 12 Seed Words or your exchange account info .
This is pretty common given exchanges and 3rd party crypto services has leaked our emails a while back.
This is very annoying for sure but now scammers are taking advantage of google messup.
Quoted by Forbes: "Introduced last month, the Gmail checkmark system highlights verified companies and organizations to users with a blue checkmark. The idea is to help users discern which emails are legitimate and which may have been sent by impersonators running scams. Unfortunately, scammers have tricked the system".
Google seem to be working on this issue to prevent scammers further pretending to be legitimate wallets / exchanges.
So, we are aware not to take actions of fishy emails but NOW DON'T TRUST THE EMAIL EVEN THE CHECKMARK SAID BINANCE, EXODUS ETC.
Cheers !
