I feel so terrible for some of you

I see so many posts about ppl getting ridiculed by family & friends over bitcoin. WTF Who does that? Am I the only one who actually has healthy & supportive relationships? Is dysfunctional the rule instead of the exception now? I truly feel awful for people when I see those posts. All of my friends & family couldn't be happier for me...

Update: Responses have been enlightening & I think I realize now why I may have had different experiences than some. It seems many people are out there trying to convince those around them to buy bitcoin. I can see how that could be annoying to normies.

I very rarely flat out tell people they should buy bitcoin and I've never once told someone it's an investment they could get rich from. Whether it is or not isn't the point. After all WTF do I know about investing? I'm a tech nerd not a finance guy. I have no business giving financial advice & neither do most of you.

Focusing on bitcoin as a great investment is a great way to get someone to dismiss or ridicule you so I think I get it now. I bet some of you are downright annoying when trying to push bitcoin onto others.

My approach has always been to talk about the broader implications of bitcoin as a full on paradigm shift. If they want to invest that's up to them, I'm only here to tell them why I like bitcoin. You don't have to mention the investment potential of bitcoin. I'd almost argue that's insulting as everyone knows about bitcoin's insane growth.

What this thread has made me understand is that it isn't so much that I have healthier relationships, but more so that I don't pressure people into investments that they know nothing about. Stop doing that.
