I know we all love DEX and P2P markets, but if we did our job we would not need them. It would make for a much safer environment for everybody, as people get tracked down (KYC) at the point of exchange for fiat money.

This is a reminder to tell your local merchant, your supplier, your online shop, your friend or whoever you transact with on a daily basis that you want to pay them in crypto.

Success rate (generating curiosity) is higher if you tell them about various different ways you can pay them. But that you prefer e.g. Monero for some reasons you can explain later. For example you can say that you would pay with PayPal (also you don't really like to), a household name many know and only then add "cryptocurrencies like Monero" or another payment method of your choice.

Instead of being fixated on your goal to only pay with your preferred cryptocurrency make it about choice for the person you talk with. Choice creates openness and curiosity.

Then you explain why you would prefer to pay with Monero over the others. Because...

• you value your and the owners privacy
• private digital cash works as convenient as the cash they know
• governments can not take it nor devalue it at will

I always add that I stopped trusting the banking system and fiat currencies (should be easy if your local fiat is not USD). You will be astonished how many people resonate with those beliefs but don't have a clue how to easily and efficiently route around omnipresent fiat money. Most merchants also have only very little time to do research around this. So here is where you come into play. After aligning your perspective on how things are heading in the wrong directions (bank failings, inflation,.) explain and show how it can be done.

Bonus: If you are good at it you can start a consulting business and people will flock to you.

Pro-tip: If you are more a shy guy. Go with a buddy or your local crypto community. This will help you overcome your shyness as well as show the merchant/restaurant/bar owner that you are not a lonesome loon.
