Imagine tracking on the blockchain the taxes you pay

I'm sure I'm not the first one who thought about this but never saw a post about it. I guess no one likes to pay taxes but it's even worse when you don't know how these founds are used.

Imagine seeing a sort of public addresses linked to an institution that collect taxes and claims to spend it for a specific purpose like education, public transportation, health-care, public security etc..Everyone would be able to see how this money is used or at least where is going. Of course the agency receiving the funds should have a public address too and the same goes for the people/companies interacting with it in order to complete the puzzle but just think about it.

I personally would be happy to pay my taxes in a system like this, what about you?
