For starters, I want to say I commend all of your conviction and fortitude to go all in on a singular investment. My friend recently liquidated his IRA, Brokerage and savings to go all in on BTC. I look at him as both a legend and insane. I haven’t worked up that much nerve yet but steadily chipping away at it.
My question is, with BTC being such a long term play, do you think you’re betting too far in the future?
Saylor said we are moderately headed to $13m by 2045. That’s over 20 years from now. Will $13m mean as much by then? Will you still need that much at that point in your life? Will $13m still be enough?
Please note, I understand that BTC is primarily for the preservation of wealth. But wouldn’t investing in index stocks equate to the same growth, especially with more companies investing BTC? Would like to hear your thoughts.
Edit: Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this conversation. I think many of the points are valid considerations and will be helpful to other investors on the fence of reallocating their holdings.
Some of the questions brought up was about my friend’s IRA. I misspoke saying he liquidated the IRA so apologies. He rolled over his IRA to a different brokerage that allowed him to fully allocate his holdings to Bitcoin ETFs.
Some have questioned my knowledge on economics. I worked in Financial Services for almost 20 years but Bitcoin is still something I’m learning. I’ve been DCA-ing since 2021 on the potential BTC could bring. But I have concerns on regulation and its seamless ntegration into our society. Again, thank you all. ✌????
