I dont know how many of you in the US were concerned about this, especially in the crypto realm. I was not too concerned about it being ruled in favor of but I am concerned that this idea was even considered by some.
Now if we were to pretend that this did go through it would be an absolute nightmare. Imagine having to pay a tax on something that you werent planning on selling for years. This would defeat the purpose of HODL and any recipient of our attempt to save and pass down would be destroyed by taxes on top of what they will already pay when receiving inheritances. These people really are trying to keep us down. I could guarantee anyone involved in crypto would be an easy target by the IRS.
