This sub keeps preaching that talking about crypto to friends and family is wrong. How do we get mass adoption then?

A common sentiment among users in this sub is that one should avoid talking about crypto to friends and family. I totally understand the sentiment behind this. Many people might react negatively to crypto. Some might invest and blame losses on you. Worst case, they come crawling to you when you make it big.

Still I think it is important to spread the word in a healthy way. How else should mass adoption truly spread if those who are convinced by crypto and invest in it, do not talk about it.

I understand that one should be careful and choose those that you speak wisely, but I think its still important.

I would recommend that focussing on technological aspects and how the current system is broken. Showcasing how change is needed might be the best approach instead of telling people that they will get rich quickly.
