What are your top 10 alts and why are you holding them?

All Cryptocurrencies

With the recent ETH-ETF approval, the bed of cryptocurrency is beginning to look more and more attractive, if one don't capitalize on being here early, we might see a wave of new money wiping out the existence of the older bags. To ensure I am not missing out on any promising alt, what alts are you hoarding? I will go first.

1 - Eth; holding this Basically for the Ethereum defi utilities. I don't really move eth around that much, less worry about it's transaction fees costing a limb when sending 0.1eth. And with the recent ETF approval, boy am I glad I am holding because to be honest, I didn't expect that approval so fast.

2- Sol: The Solana blockchain reminds me of Bitcoin, it just won't go away. A thousand times it has gone under, 1001 times it has risen back up. Been holding for a pretty long while and I think I will hold on a bit longer, this roller-coaster is exhilarating.

3- Zeta: Zetachain is like that new boy in the block that is attracting all the girls. Rightly so though, not everyday one gets to see an inception into the Bitcoin legacy chain. Of course, I am holding for its defi utilities too. I believe a time is coming where it is all DEX and less room for cex and their manipulations, Zetachain makes that future less blurry.

4- Core: This one is very intriguing. Until coredao blockchain, I didn't know it is possible to leverage an older chain block-hash to validate blocks on a newer blockchain especially if both operate as a layer 1 blockchain. Being a blockchain builder [not technically], I find coredao worth of supporting. Leveraging bitcoin-hash to validate transactions on the core chain is a really complex but welcomed development. So yep, holding to support the innovation.

5- Ton: Telegram messenger despite some shortcomings is a good reminder that WhatsApp is not alpha. I was a bit skeptical when Ton was launched as an associated blockchain of telegram. To be honest, I don't see the team integrating any aspect of telegram with ton to boost utility and adoption, but again, I did not see the eth-ETF approval coming too, so; a few 100s here and there won't hurt, right? Yeah, holding for some green pills.

6- Tron: This I hold for cost effective transactions. That is just it, and if there is a bull, I try to take my investment out... The luna-Do-Kwon fiasco is still fresh, Don't wanna be cut pants down x2.

7- XMR: Monero is probably the only cryptocurrency till date that better protects transaction privacy than fiat bills. I rarely use it [because I have nothing to unhide], but when there is a need for it, it beats moving assets between CEXes.

8- Nano: This one is organic love, I respect the project builders and the support it has been able to garner all these years. Nano is not flash or posh, but just when you think it is not relevant, it comes back to save you that few bucks during large transfer of assets.

9- Pepe: I feel like this is a right-of-passage, you just have to have some memes, yep ~100% very likely, and there is a bittersweet feeling in knowing that projects with amazing utilities cannot hold a billion in market cap, while some memes are flexing over 3B easy.

10- Vet: I got into vechain for it's promises which have remained unfilled till date, but for what it is worth, not in the red zone yet despite holding for longer than a year.

There you have it, oh an Important note; I can decide to cash out any of these at any time, I am no Michael Saylor. So dyor and don't hold on my account.
