When did crypto 'click' and make sense to you... or did it? What fundamentals led to an ephiphany?

any of us have joined in the last year or so, caught up in the highs of last year's bull market and watching green candles blow up everything. I can admit, I got pulled in thanks to a coworker convincing me to throw a few bucks at Doge and then it exploded.

After that, I figured I'd start doing some research and two things made crypto click:

There was a Ted talk on blockchain which broke down blockchain, what it was, and some of the use cases. Til then, bitcoin had been magic internet money and I gambled on an offshoot and won.

That same day, I read the Ethereum white paper and the rest of the pro-crypto argument fell into place.

So, what was that moment for you? I mean, yeah, it's still a gamble and requires patience and training yourself not to watch the charts, but when did the reason behind it, when the tech help you realize that, 'hey, this is a real thing and isn't going away? and it's something I want to invest in or be a part of?'
