Large companies should be held responsible for scam adverts appearing in their sites.

Just now I have seen an advert for an AI site. The idea is you deposit your money and it makes lots of trades very quickly so you can see profits in minutes.

Obviously most people know if something is too good to be true then it usually is. But also people shouldn’t have scams pushed at them by google.

The one I saw moments ago claimed that David Attenborough was using the platform and he had revealed it on the graham Norton show. The image they used was from the Jonathan Ross show years ago.

Now do you think the likes of google and Facebook should be held responsible? And if so how? Obviously the first answer is fines but these sites generate so much money from ad revenue it would have to be a ridiculous amount for them to even care. I think it’s one thing if a user posts a scam but when it’s content the platform has pushed then to a certain degree they were complicit.
